I'm looking for sound deadening material which must be 30-35mm thick, foam on one side and heat resistant material to 100°C on the other side and preferably black.

Can anyone recommend anywhere to find such stuff?

I know Dynamat in the US get a lot of coverage in the car repair field , even on pimp my ride, WCC, overhauling etc. They all swear by it but is that marketing :Unknown:

It's expensive either way you look at it.

Look for Bitumen sheets , this stuff will work better than the over hyped overpriced sound deadening foam sheets , they use bitumen in computer cases etc and it's a alternative to Dynamat etc with much lower costs

Good idea, I'll have word. Is it heat resistance to 100°C? I always thought it was combustible?

Hi, you can try modified bitumen which has a higher temp rating. is it direct heat via flame or in-direct? What are you trying to sound deaden if you can give me a idea can advise more.

The sound deadening will be installed above the engine which is located directly underneath the cab. I found a place that does marine deadening which may work, seems to be the thickness we require that is causing problems.

    Cheers
