All Honda cars with SSD,HDD and SD Navigation need to make a note of this important piece of information. Owners have been approaching Honda UK after they have activate and create their own personal security codes for their SSD, SD or HDD navigation systems, but have not saved code or noted it down. As this is a 'personal' code set by the owner at the time of creation there is no record of this code kept on any of Honda's databases and no way or resetting or retrieving this code apart from returning the unit to the supplier themselves. There is a warning and specific security code procedure, to this effect, described in the owner's manual of the navigation system ,as described below, so please make you all are aware of the importance of keeping any PIN codes being set safe. Extract from owners manual: Security Mode To set this function ON, setting a PIN code (called as " Personal Code ") is required. When you set your Personal Code, a theft is prevented by disabling the operation of the unit.In addition, set the Blinking LED function to "ON" to improve the effect of this function. Setting the Security Mode 1. Touch the (ON) key of the Security Mode item. The set code screen appears. 2. Enter your desired 4-digit Personal Code by using Ten-Key pad displayed on the screen, then touch the (OK) key. *Touch the return key when you make a mistake in entering. 3. Enter the same Personal Code again for confirmation, then touch the (OK) key.The entered Personal Code will be set, and it will return to the previous screen. Important Note : * Be sure to write down your personal code set in this procedure on the attached card, and keep it in a safe place. Resetting the Security Mode 1. Touch the (OFF) key of the Security Mode item. The Erase Code screen appears. 2. Enter your 4-digits Personal Code by using Ten-Key pad, then touch the (OK) key. The message " Code erased" appears, and it will return to the previous screen. If, for whatever reason, the power supply of the navigation system is disconnected without keeping the security code saved, there is no resetting procedure offered by Honda and the unit can only be reset at the supplier facilities. To enable the entered code to be cleared the unit must be removed and returned to the supplier.
