I used autosol metal polish, not the usual thing people use but I've used previously on my Prelude and they came up like new with no damage to headlights whatsoever

Wow would never have thought of that. I know people use whitening toothpaste with the gritty bits in it so same difference I suppose. The 3M kit is very good as have multiple grades to get them perfect and only like £15-20.

No you can't, the DVD unit drives the screen, the screen is used for climate control, audio settings as well as navigation, so you will lose all that too.

You can inject a video signal into the head unit (see this thread) though, needs a fair bit of messing about though.

I have an oil leak from somewhere it looks as though it's coming from the right side of the oil pan but I can't find the leak, the right side of the oil pan is pretty corroded I've wiped the excess oil from it but the leak has returned, any ideas of where it could be coming from as I'm at a loose end what to do I was going to replace the oil pan to see if that cures the problem, the steering rack was replaced before I bought the car so I thought it might be a loose pipe or something like that but I really can't find the source
