Petrol auto should be pretty bombproof so I'd say just the normal stuff - service history, accident damage etc.

The interior plastics can mark quite easily if the car has been abused (and even if not!).

Other than that, look at this thread if you haven't already.

Oh, and the most important thing...:goodluck:

We got an 08 auto last year and have had no problems so far! I've read reviews on the auto and people moan about it not wanting to shift down when you really want but I can't complain About it! My wife drives to and from work in the week and loves the auto! Good luck with your search.

    ^^ @Tear101

Unfortunately, far too many people who drive automatics don't really understand how to drive them properly, or expect a big auto SUV to perform like a smaller and more powerful car.

The Honda automatic box in the CR-V is excellent, and very well suited to the car and engine as you say. Many of these new DSG/double clutch boxes have so many ratios that they never settle (as my VW Tiguan never did) or are unreliable (as my VW Tiguan was). The Honda is tried and tested, works well, and lasts.

I bought an 08 2.0 Petrol Auto 20 months ago. Have done 41K mileage in it and still loving it. Mine did have a full Honda service history and the auto fluid was changed at around 60K - I'll be getting it changed again at the next service. I have absolutely no complaints about it at all.

Alright alright already!! I'll get some photos and get her in the club garage. The car leaves the house early and gets back in the dark so things like fiddling about and taking photos have to wait until the weekend

Then sorry you should use 0w-30, or 5w-30. It recommender to use 0w-20 in your CR-V but it not ideal for a SUV it will burn oil at a fast rate.
