Go bin your tax disc, today is the day, the end of an era.

I'm actually looking forward to being able to pay by Direct Debit.

Do we legally need to remove them from the windscreen?

I'll probably just keep mine on for the now then, I'm guessing the window will need a good wipe after taking it off. Don't want to lose it as it's my only proof of the vehicle being taxed lol

You can keep it on for as long as you want mate, there is no requirement to take it off. The DVLA have made the ruling, so its not the police so it should be the same for you guys way up north.

Speaking of which, I need to go out with methylated spirits and clean the windscreen a bit to get rid of that horrible residue.

It's good to have a little fun. Especially if you can park up next to the local :police: station.

Leaving mine in for a time being. And once it's run out, I will put something else instead just to keep the AOC tax disc holder

Is there maybe an option to have a Honda Karma sticker in the shape of a tax disc?

Have a rectangular sticker on the back/side window, how about a circular one up front? Its not eating any space that wasn't used before.

EDIT - or even an artwork created for personal printing as it won't have to be a sticker a such.

I forgot about this untill seeing this, even though I was talking about it a few days ago and even did an online tax check on my car, bloomin thing runs out in December, looks like I'll end up doing that direct debit, even though you pay more for doing it, because I see the timing of that for Christmas being a pain.

5% interest for paying monthly isn't too bad - £225 becomes £236.75 so I've got to pay less than a pound extra per month for the privilege. One upside to this new system I guess (assuming you don't bounce on the DD)

I really don't understand why paying monthly should cost you more. Surely it helps those that can't afford to pay in full so why penalise people.

Having said that though as @Chunkylover53 has said, it is only 5% and it will continue to be paid so you won't have the worry of forgetting to renew.

Also, it's actually cheaper than the old 6 month option which use to have a levy of 10%.

Oh and BTW @Chunkylover53 I wouldn't want to bounce on DD, it wouldn't be good for him Lol.
