Hi, I have a 2005 Tourer 2.0 Petrol, I don't have the service manual and was wondering what the timing belt interval is, I think it might be 75,000 but I've seen a post elsewhere that indicated 105,000, can an expert clarify this?

    Many thanks,

    Dave

Your car is chain driven so no need to change(maintenance free).Have a look at this.

Along with regular oil changes you will never find a chain stretched chain on a stock engine , however you get stretched chains on boosted engines where you may need to go for an aftermarket tensioner.

How can you preserve the life of your chain?

As above. Leave it stock and regular oil changes.

Sorry CJ, just done some searching and I am indeed being a retard. Just thought because mine was K20Z it was different lol.

So timing chain for me also, sweeet. Was banking on having to get the timing belt changed next year on mine so that's money I can spend elsewhere.....on the accord still of course

Could you lift your bonnet on the suspension towers you will find the factory VIN plate riveted. Take a picture of it just make sure you blur out your VIN number before posting.

The only UK two engine\series\type were

    K20A6 engine
    K24A3 engine

Yes you will get a life long service out of it provided you never run it low on oil and regularly change the oil preferably 6000 Miles . You have to be on top of it .

I stand corrected the facelift 2.0 engine had a totally revised cylinder head and camshaft lobes and it came with DBW ..so it was a diffident engine K20Z2.

i will amend the post :Hey:
