Hope this is in the right section.

I've just sold my 7th Generation tourer and on the look out for an 8th Generation model  .
I'm just wondering is the boot size smaller/narrower .
I've not seen an 8th Generation in the flesh so i'm just going by pictures in for sale adds.

    Thanks.

CJ's the man to answer that, he's got both.

I would think it'll either be the same or bigger. Can't see it being smaller.

Pretty sure boot is narrower in the 8th Generation because of different suspension setup.

The 8th Generation boot space can't be compared to the 7th Generation , 7th Generation is a load lugger and the 8th Generation is a not.

However the 8the suspension geometry is far superior hence the intrusion of the twin rear towers in the boot which limits the space.

Oh god, now I have bad ideas.

I have a pair of turrets in the garage destined for the Midget. Wonder would AVO build me a nice tarmac set of coils for the rear

Pete you reckon the 7th Generation rear suspension is superior? really?

I have no grounds to think that.

But I have a pair of turrets in the garage, I reckon a days work would see them fitted in my tourer providing I also got the likes of AVO to spec me up some coilovers to suit.

Would then just need painted and a bit of reinforcement around the shock mount on the lower arm

That would then allow me to change to tubular lower arms because the spring pans will no longer be required.

Oh god, this is a rabbit hole I do not wish to venture down with the daily.
