Does anyone know if you can transfer the favourites stored in the pre-facelift, touchscreen sat. nav. to an 8th Generation?
    If so, how ?

Not sure if that is possible at all.
I will say no but happy to be corrected.

Oh well, have to go Plan B.
Thanks for the replies though guys.

Is it possible on an 8th Generation, or any of the models?
Big oversight from Honda if not.

Not that I'm aware of, I don't think the circumstance of swapping between Honda models has ever been taken into consideration.

Nope it can't as there is no way you can save the Eprom data that easily, same on the 8th Generation. There is no software option either.

But the ones with the SD card and Onboard HDD sat navs I suppose you can , can the 4th Generation CR-V owners try this or even 9th Generation Civics?

Plan B was to transfer the favourites, one by one, to a Garmin. (Also serves as a back-up, in case the Alpine unit gives up the ghost)
Then transfer to the new Accord - when I eventually change.
I've got a lot stored in there. Especially places abroad, that would be hard to find again.

Yeah. Okay. A challenge, but there's no hurry. :Tea:
There are lots of members with more pressing issues, not to mention fine tuning the site.

Fine tuning is still ongoing but TBH we have so many ideas it will take months to implement, but I will try to find time for this .
