I decided to get the frame powder coated and give it a right good clean I didnt get many strip down photos as I only had an afternoon to do it.
Would you believe these photos were taken after i washed it (with the plastics on)

    Looking a bit better now.

Took me about 2 hours with a tooth brush to get it to this stage and its still not spotless.

That looks much better, plenty of elbow grease used.

This is the kind of project I would enjoy doing:Grin:

Brilliant the way forward you didn't want to stick with the stock sliver then.

I think the black will go better with the red plastics plus I like it being all black until the swingarm/subframe.

Coming along nicely mate. apart from a full disassemble and refit what else are you changing.

How many hours has the engine got? I would stuck to the sliver personally on the frame as it looks more appealing and would have shown oil leaks more prominently or issues easily.

The engine probably has less than 20 hrs since it was rebuilt I was a bit slow to fit an hour meter so not sure exactly.
All I have done is replaced a clutch arm seal and a steering bush and I will obviously give it a service. Alot of the bearings were replaced when I uprated the suspension so i have just cleaned then greased them.

Good call to change the bearing as they take a battering on ATV, hour meter is a must on these beasts. let me know which hour meter you have as I want to fit them on my garden implements.

At the moment in time i have a log of how many hours its run and a meter will be precise,.
