I see that the SatNav is a DVD player.

Now I am not that technically minded for these things but what would be needed and how difficult would it be to turn the SatNav into a DVD Player?

I know it is dangerous and off putting whilst driving but I would want it for when either parked up and waiting for someone or for those prolonged periods of time in a car when at a meet etc,

    Anyone?

You can tap into the Sat Nav screen, I thinks theres some after market adaptors that allow you to do this. I've done it in my own unique way (check the links in my signature).

Your DVD source will need to be external though. You can't run without the OEM Sat Nav DVD drive, that has to stay.

I'm not sure about the later 8th gens.

Sorry forgot to explicitly say that although the Sat Nav drive is DVD drive you can't play video DVDs off it. It's only for reading the Sat Nav disc.

Would it be better to just purchase the nextbase DVD system from Honda?
