I bought some sigma alloys for my 8th Generation tourer and the labels that came with them say I need a 225/45/18 95Y tyre, however everything I have read says that I need a 98 rated tyre which I can't find anywhere, does anyone with a bit more understanding of these things know which tyre I should get? Thanks

What does the Tyre placard stickers say, when you bought these sigmas there would have been a new tyre placard to go on your B pillar.

I will look up the tyre spec for you.

The stickers say 225/45/18 95y, just a bit confused because my current 17inch alloys use a 98V tyre.

load rating 95 will be fine as it's 690kg per corner, I had 94 on 7 gen, don't bother about speed rating too much as it doesn't matter if you will have V or Y as I don't think so that you'll be driving faster than 149 mph ;-)

Have a look at this mate http://hondakarma.com/threads/5306/

if you have ADAS on your car you have to buy the correct tyre irrespective of the fact you can't exceed the maximum speed of the vehicle.

Thanks for the help, looks like the 225/45/17 95Y will be fine, and the 98 load rating on the 18's was for the newer facelift model, I don't have ADAS it's just a basic ES GT with no options.
