I've been asked by someone to keep an eye out for an 8th Generation Accord 2.4 Saloon, manual.

Let me know if you come across one please.

Manual 2.4 8th gens are rare very rare I would think there are only 100 in the UK, but they do come up. I will have my eye open,

Auto there are loads of them in the UK, gods know why they were flooded on the market.

I spent 1 year looking for the right 2.4 manual. not a easy car too find. The ones that did pop up on autotrader where used heavily and overpriced. Most are autos and manual is rare and estate is also very rare. I looked on autotrader every day and found a good one so its worth doing too

Weirdly it took me only couple of days to find mine but it was a bit overpriced and i walked away.
Went back after a month and surprisingly it was still there for sale.
Made a deal with dealer there and then, bought it and took it home with me.

It was on 19K milles only and under 3 years old then.
4 and a half years later i still got it.I have been tempted to sell it but i just can't do it.
    Love this car.

Nah not seling it.Made my mind up and as long as it doesn't give me any problems is staying with me for a long time.
My teenage son already got an eye on it.

Decided to get a CR-V petrol in the future but Accord is staying as well.

@AccordCU2 I still regret selling my Accord from time to time.

The CR-V is a great thing though, so not that often...:zen:

I have tried CR-V on couple of occasions now and at first i was against it because i wanted more power.Used to my Accord.
Thinking about it more and CR-V does everything i need it for.

It's roomy enough for 3 kids and boot is sufficient for my holidays trips .
I will get it in the future, when exactly i can't tell.
Not in position to spend 20K plus on the car right now.

On UK roads there is so little chance to use 'power' in any case, there seems little point any more.

Mark my words, the maximum speed limit on a-roads will drop to 50mph from 60mph in the next few years, at which point a powerful car will make even less sense unless you take it onto a track.

I am not a racer and Accord is not really a "powerful " car but has more grunt then CR-V and that was what put me off at first.
Anyhow CR-V is everything i need and cruising through Europe in comfort and big boot is all i am after.

Need to save few pennies now ,give up smoking and it will happen.
