Well tried to spruce up the drive some tonight. Left very late about 10.40 and met an Audi a4 tail gating me for about two miles on the a39.
Now thinking back to CJ and his love of all things diesel and feeling a little peed of with Mr Audi I thought lets see how far he would push it. Well he was a bit of a speed demon, where road was clear we did a little over the stated mph. and we had what could be termed as a spirited drive.

That was until i looked in my rear view and he was gone! nothing not a sign of him except for a MASS of smoke! Now thinking he had exploded into a ball of recycled German crap I did the decent thing and put some dido on.. You know that one she did with the rap guy. I like that track.

No i slowed and turned round and there sure enough on the side of the road was one stuffed Audi. Early 2L diesel with a turbo which think ended up mostly in tatters. I took pity on this lad as I know CJ would have done the same thing and towed him up the road to a small garage which closed , where he awaited recovery.

I resisted to many " not got that with Honda" and "how cum you couldn't get past my old mans car" he didn't laugh?? any way gave him a fag and foundout his name was Leon from Bristol and a sales guy for a copier firm.
Recovery arrived and established what I had said which was most of the turbo blades was or had made its way to the intercooler and seemed to have done a reasonable job at least with little tiny shards passing through it. I recommended and oil Change flush the intercooler about 100 timesand prob some fresh underwear, oh and a new turbo. I now feel very guilty as my childish behaviour had forced him to be silly and pick on a well maintained accord.
NA sod it one less German oil burner to any me... Happy days  See im soft i am

Keith your a real samaritan, I think the rest of us would have just stood and laughed at Leon (or worse).

I've recently been exchanging conversations with an ex work colleague who bought an Audi A4 2.0 FSI a few months back. When he was looking for a car I told him to go for a Honda but he ignored me and ended up with the Audi. Anyway said Audi was heading down the motorway about two months ago when it suffered sudden and total failure, oil light came on and but by the time he pulled up to the side of the road the engine was sounding like a bag of spanners.

So said colleague gets the car towed home and calls me. Had it been a Honda in distress I would had that thing over to my home garage in no time at all but being an Audi I didn't fancy taking it on, so I advised him to take it to an Audi specialist instead. Upon hearing that oil pump had shattered I advised my ex collegue that he should source a replacement engine. This was like 2 months back, his car is still at the Audi "specialists" and after £1500 worth of work, the engine is running but still has oil pressure problems. He got talked into getting the engine fixed, so much for taking my advice and getting a replacement engine. The same Audi specialist told him that he had just got another car in with exactly the same problem !!

Horse Sprung Duck Technique ... the horse occasionally bolts, leaving the duck stranded ! LOL

I know a bloke whose 2008 A6 tourer chucked its hand in on the M-Way. Luckily for him it was on lease and they wrote it off! It also reminds me of a recent thread on Pistonheads; the subject was the RS4 and owners givin' it large about how good they are, 'best car in the world' etc. yet everyone who was posting, and I literally mean everyone has warranty work in the £10,000s. I'm sorry, but it may be fast going down a road but a car that regularly has major mechanical failures is quite frankly rubbish and most definitely not the best in the world. Hate Audi's, hate Audi drivers.

Hate such a strong word  do know what you mean though.
On reflection the MnM Dido Stan track was prob bit harsh but I like it and i didn't have that well known Cars track with me.. Leon seemed like a nice enough lad and did feel sorry for him but then I remember he drives an Audi and I detest them. Nothing good will ever come of German various ownership.. Honda 1 Audi big fat 0 eat my soot

Hate is a strong word but in my experience utter konbs are attracted to Audi's. the A4 in particular. What I really can't stand is that these idiots are buying a badge, nothing else. I've driven a few A4's of various vintages and everyone has been a complete plank of a car. The last one, an 08 came equipped with the ridiculous S-Line suspension, what a horrendous mess of a car, rock hard ride yet still managed to wallow it's way round a bend. Put into perspective, a Mondeo, something no doubt Mr Area Sales Manager A4 driver looks on with disgust is vastly superior car in every way.

Coming back from Manchester today on the M62 and saw these two cars getting really racy a white BMW five diesel and a FD2 .

The FD2 handed the bavarian backside on a platter and left it for DUST ..:Rolf: Nothing makes my day to see a Honda ripping apart a bavarian turd.

Don't think I've ever seen an FD2. I've been in an Integra Type-R, not really my thing but quick when at the top end of the rev range which from memory was about a million RPM but could have been more.
