Hi again all. I am soon driving from London to Scotland. There will be four of us, a dog and the kitchen sink in the car as I am traveling with 3 women

I am going to pump the tyres a little higher and keep my speed constant, between 70-80 I'm guessing. Any suggestions as to the MPG I should return?

The car is a 2004 2.2 tourer cdti.

    Thanks all

No one seems to have replied to you, that's odd.

I own a 2.4 petrol, so don't know for sure but my guess is 50+

Good luck, that's some trek !

Not sure with auto but my 2.4 manual return 36 MPG on motorway at speeds mentioned in first post.

Between 48-52mpg I reckon, you will be lucky to get more then that with a full car!

I'd say a couple of MPG less. If you drop to 60-65 mph you'll get another 5-6mpg.

I would say about 48 - 50 not much more. That's about what mine would give with car packed with wife and kids..
