Hi guys. What petrol is best to use in this car. Plain unleaded or super? Cheers

if the car been run on normal fuel all its life then makes sense to stick with normal fuel.

Super if you have the speed bug.

Perfect. Normal it is then. Should save a few pennies there!

On my 1977 accord I am using super (VPP) the ignition timing is a few degree advance and the mixture is mildly on the rich side . On modern car you can't adjust timing to make the most of the fuels unless they have been run from day one.

You could you super but the advantages won't been seen for 5-6 full full tanks.

I use supermarket fuel, I believe this speeds up the need for the EGR passages to be cleaned?...can't see how Super will make a 14 year old engine run any better?..I do use quality Honda oil though!
