Hi folks - a quick question; has anyone ever tried Yokohama tyres on the CR-V? I have the MOT in a week and have been advised that I need to replace the fronts. I've been given a price of £160 for two, fitted and balanced, and can't seem to find any reviews on said items. I'd hate to be wasting my money....

Thankfully unlike freelanders we can replace one or two tyres without wrecking the 4WD system ! That sounds a good price for any premium tyre fitted etc. I was going to suggest black circle but don't think you'll beat your price.
I was lucky enough to buy a full set of alloys for mine on eBay for £100 I was surprised to find out all four tyres were nearly new.

I swear by Yokohamas. Probably on my 10th set now. Never had a CR-V but Yokohama suit the Accord.

My 2014 Black Edition came with 19" 45 profile Yokohamas. I thought with this set up I was in for an uncomfortable ride but I have to say they weren't as bad as expected. They grip OK in the dry and wet but I only did a couple of thousand miles on them before fitting my Nokian 17" 60 profile Nokians. Theses do give a better ride but not dramatically so.

Overall I think the Yokos are a good quality tyre.

Thanks, all - I'm looking forward to getting them fitted, along with a couple of bushes on the rear anti-roll bars....

Well, they are on, and, I'm happy to say, they're good - very quiet.

Regarding the bushes - they weren't needed. The garage that told me that I needed them is the same place where I bought the car, but they are a bunch of lying spivs. I can't explain just how I've come to that conclusion without writing War and Peace, but, suffice to say, it's the latest in a series of events that have left a bad taste in my mouth. The garage is called Autozone, in Coleraine, N.I. - avoid, would be my advice...

A bit late I know, but when my tyres need replacing on my CR-V I'm going to have Yokohamas.

Had them on my Accord, and they were excellent.

At some point, my MINI may get a set as well.

What's wrong with part worn at £10 a corner, only cos I used to get second hand old bill ones that were about 50 % worn for F. A.

I need new tyres for my 8th Generation 2.4 petrol. It has 225/50r17 tyre size. Narrow search down to michelin primacy 3 or Yokohama decibel e70.

Guys wich one would you recommend - am only interested in the best quality

I loved the Goodyear Efficient grip performance on my 8th Generation as it made the roads feel like theyed been resurfaced. Very smooth and quiet. They also came either 1st or 2nd in group tests of tyres.

I don't think they do them on the CR-V so ill keep an eye on this thread.

Yokohama Parada Spec-X installed on my CR-V are the best tyres I've ever had. Quiet and comfortable, so different from noisy and rigid Dunlop tyres in stock.

I'm quite disappointed with my Yoko's they are poor in the wet and even worse in the cold.

I'll be going GoodYear next time round.
