She looks whiter than white and is a shining beauty again!
And i know what you mean with the easiness of cleaning a car which has a good protection. Last week i washed the Jazz, it was also 3 weeks after her last wash and the winter detail with Finish Kare 1000p sealant and their tyre and trim gel. Less than an hour later she was shining again, i used my favorite Finish Kare #425 detailer after the wash.

Our summer wheels are also waiting in the garage for a good clean, maybe this week when it's not freezing.

I was going to do them today, but it's still only JUST above freezing at 12.30, so they will have to wait until the weekend when the forecast is much warmer.

Only a week and c200 miles since I cleaned the CR-V, and this morning it looked like this...:Aghast:...the combination of Winter weather and a daily commute on country roads. You can't see all the mud under the arches, either!

It's too damp to do much today other than a quick clean (which I've done, so she now looks better again) - but I also took the opportunity this morning to give my Summer wheels a quick clean before storing them for Winter.

Today was just a clean and a quick detail with Bouncers 'Done & Dusted' with a few surface scratches removed using Megs 'Scratch-X' which works well on the 'shadow chrome' finish I find. fullsizeoutput_1f2. fullsizeoutput_1f3.

They will be stored in blankets in my garage, and in the Spring I'll give them a proper going over and a few coats of wax.

I'm pleased at how unscathed they still are!

I just said it yesterday to someone, we better could have a sunny cold winter with light frost (NO snow) than this wet weather. And by the time i read your post i guess she's dirty again.
You have beautiful summer wheels, i love them!

She was filthy, but I washed her again this afternoon - as I won't get a chance with Christmas next week.

Just five days on from her last wash, and...

...I'm not sure white is the best choice for a proper rural life LOL.

I thought you'd changed her for a grey one! :taunt:

On the positive side, the CR-V is almost the perfect car for where I now live.

High enough to see over hedgerows, grip from the 4WD, and enough clearance for flooded roads as I've already found out.

This afternoon I went 12 miles across country entirely on single track roads, all covered in mud and leaves. Despite how dirty the car is, I found myself feeling that I couldn't have a better companion for the conditions.

You do realise that all this praise could tempt me into a CR-V when I change next. (Not for a good while though).

My sister lives in an even more rural location than me - she has just got her second CR-V and she's a tough person to please.

It really is a fantastic multi-purpose car, and that's why I'll be keeping this one for the duration.

Practical - just look at the size of the boot - comfortable, well built, reliable, 4WD...the ideal SUV. I genuinely don't understand why it doesn't get more praise in the motoring press.

Until you have cleaned it, you can change the color of the car in your garage.

I love our storm silver Jazz with this weather.

I need to run my Accord for a few years first, but a CR-V next is quite possible.
