Love it I loved the 80's and I have a guilty pleasure of listening to Absolute 80's every time I am in the house and in the car.

Love the 80's so much I could do with the time machine to go back when things were great in Great Britain.

@Ichiban no doubt the 1980s were the best decade...I have an epic 80s playlist on Spotify! 131 fantastic songs to take me back to my youth...

Mrs Zebster is a massive fan of everything eighties and, like CJ, listens to Absolute 80s whenever possible. Unfortunately, I didn't much care for the 80s; the fashions, music, politics and ever-present threat of nuclear war all ruined it for me! I much preferred the 70s...

The threat of nuclear war just gave the decade that 'certain something' didn't it...

I went to university in 1990. The clubs were already doing 80s nights...never 60s or 70s nights. :excited::dance:

Anyway, what more could you want from a decade than Thatcher in Number 10, Reagan in The White House and The Thompson Twins or Dexys on the radio?

Oh, right...now I'm starting to get it!

Haha... Yuppies buying Porsches and otherwise flaunting their undeserved wealth is also a grim memory. The threat of nuclear war was just about tolerable, until Frankie Goes to Hollywood started 'singing' about it...

The mother of one of my school friends had a 1980 'V' (I think) metallic green 3.0 litre Capri 'S' - with a graduated 'S' down the sides at the bottom of the doors.

    It was fantastic!

Not sure if this will work, but this is an attempt to post a link to my Spotify 1980s playlist...

Sod that modern rubbish, I bought some cassettes earlier on in the year. I listen to 80's music on an 80's format.

Oh dear God, nostalgia is making cassettes and Ford Capris appear attractive. I despair!

Music died in 1978, when disco took over from punk...

Has it got a cassette player or an 8-track?

It's got a cassette with AM/MW radio. No FM, so I can't even run an FM modulator lol.

    Strange logic from Ford there.
