After replacing all my door lock actuators it started working properly now. Though I was wondering if all 6th Generation accord's had the option that the turning signals blink when locking/unlocking the car, because mine does not seem to work. The button to open my trunk from the remote also does not work, I thought maybe these 2 problems are related? What do you guys think? What should i be looking for to solve this problem?

The turn signals should blink when the central locking is activated and de activated by the remote fob. I have found that the signals do not blink when say the bonnet is open, the car still locks fine though. Unfortunatly I cannot help as to the boot release function on your fob as my hatchback model does not come with this feature, though I do have one of those fobs.

As said by Harvey, they should blink, as for the boot release, you need to press and hold the button down for a few seconds and it then opens the boot.

My signals have just stopped working when locking the car, but they all work for indicating and hazards.

They worked before I opened the bonnet this morning. They didn't after I closed it.

Should I be looking at the bonnet catch release or a spring switch somewhere around the bonnet edge?

    Any advice very welcome

    Thank you

Well, due to the overwhelming advice received on this (ahem) I tried a few things myself :sherlock:. So I opened the bonnet and closed it. And now all is well again

Apologies @Phil P - I've only just caught up with this thread.
Sounds like a bad bonnet switch contact. It would be worth removing and cleaning the earth switch.

Cheers Nels. Only playing. Let's not forget this car is 18 years old now and probably there aren't that many knowledgeable 6th Generation owners left here. I have a feeling that the bonnet wasn't closed properly. Harvey's comments on earlier posts gave me a good lead. Cheers Harvey
