Can someone tell me the correct tyre size for the penta wheels?

I have 225 45 17s but noticed that when i go through one of these signs that display your speed that when i'm doing 30 the sign states 27 or 28.

This got me thinking maybe i should have 50 profile tyres?

All manufactures build in a buffer to safeguard customers from overspeeding, also from a legal perspective .I do 72 MPH to maintain 70 MPH
  3. It's noticeable when you use an aftermarket GPS which shows your speed - always about 2 or 3 mph slower than the speedo.

No thats the correct size, mine are exactly the same about 2mph out slightly more at higher speeds. TONTOM confirms I wouldn't worry about it..

    Nice wheels though:Thumbup:
