hello all I hope there are some folks on here that still own this model?

I'm going to refresh my Dad's aged uk accord 1992 Auto Solaris Silver. He really loves his car. The car just passed another MOT. So I've agreed to give the car some TLC.
    1. of going to remove some rust on the rear wing near door and restore.
    2. is to repair the O/S/F wing
    3. Install a 3rd brake light.
    4. Respray the wiper arms as the have faded to silver in areas.
    5. Shampoo the interior seats and carpets
    6. Find some new mats as the ones he has have seen better days.
    7. one of the wheel trim hub cap fell off
He has taken them off and bought some awful aftermarket wheel trims. I would love to buy the missing cap and put the original set back on the car. I've looked on eBay with no avail.

Hoping to post some pictures soon when I get started

It's good to see her in the Club Garage.

It would help more if you could add details like the chassis code and engine type. This can be found on the VIN and V5 doc.
This guide will show you which part of the VIN has this information.

She's an old lady, so she's bound to have some signs of age. However, it is amazing how much can be done to restore an old car.

Can you post up some pictures of the things you want to repair/paint/clean etc. ?

I've moved your thread to the Project Log, as it is more at home here - You can record the work carried out all in one place.

If you join in on the site a little more, by the time we get to Monday 21st, you should be eligible for Club Discount at Holdcroft Honda.
Give them a call (details below) and they will be able to quote you for the parts you want.

Alternatively, Carparts4less may be able to find you non-Honda components

The amount varies depending on the margins they get. You could call them tomorrow and ask what it would cost with discount when you become eligible.

It also keeps thing in one place for you.

If you want to see what a very active Garage Entry and Project Log is like, check this one out. I don't think Guy will mind - It however will take you quite some time to read through it all!
It does show though how he has been tackling all those jobs he has done.

Not good news phoned an honest garage, he couldn't believe the age of the car! lol 91!! he said..
he says the bottom pulley is prone to be seized or could even snap! tbh i seen youtube video of this guy using a massive bar even then he it was very difficult.
he advises just run it to the ground, you could end up from a running car to a non running car.

Hi Andy thanks for your reply. I didn't call them 1 there were several numbers and 2 I didn't see the point if I can't get it changed. Unless u or someone knows someone who can?

Just to clarify I was on the assumption that I would get the parts from Holdcroft and labour closer to home
