Accord Tourer 2.2 5 Dr Executive. Diesel Fuel Tank leak which appears to be from the welded seam, has anyone experienced this? My vehicle has now clocked just over 200,000 miles.

I am afraid I have not experienced a leak in the fuel tank. Are you certain that it has gone there and is not dripping down from above?

Hi Harvey, thank you for reply. Definitely leaking from welded seam. No leaks from any rubber seals or hoses. Tank is out the seam is rusty. Main dealer only £550.00!! I am looking for scrap replacement. Regards Alan.

Hopefully you can get a decent used one. Normally scrap yards punch a hole in the tank to drain the fuel out. But give holdcroft honda a call in stoke, tell them you are a member on here. They'll look after you.

Hi Harvey, Yes some do some don't. I found one local last week but it was 2004 Saloon version. Do Holdcroft give discounts??, I think they have a place in near me in Corbridge. My local dealer is Springfield they have sorted parts for me before, but parts are very expensive.

That's the one, speak to Martin or Gareth in parts, they've always been pretty helpfull for me. They do give discounts as they our club affiliated dealership, however I'm sure there is a min post count, but I'm not sure what it is. They are pretty helpfull though.

    Good news!

I don't know how viable it is for a car fuel tank but there are products available that coat the inside of the fuel tank to prevent leaks, and possibly stop pinhole leaks. Usually used in garden machinery. One I've heard mentioned is petseal
