It came to our attention that members using Yahoo mail were not receiving any emails from the site whatsoever and that it'd been the case for quite some time, this also covered a few other email providers for which the mail was handled by Yahoo, such as Sky. Apparently the volume of mail coming from our server was such that Yahoo was rejecting all mail, and would continue to do so unless we jumped through a load of hoops and applied to become a registered "Bulk Sender". A process which we tried to complete, and failed for unspecified reasons - we couldn't get to the bottom of it. We've now sourced a dedicated mail provider through the Amazon AWS cloud computing platform. On the face of it, nothing should change, emails will still appear to be sent from the monitored [email protected] address and the content will still be as expected. If anyone experience any trouble with their emails from the site coming through, please shout up and let us know.
