I've got an active subwoofer and I have been quoted £50 for fitting. Is that reasonable and are there any pitfalls I should watch out for or any shortcuts that the fitter should not attempt?

Try it yourself mate not that hard... but for 50 quid is not that high is it worth getting your hands dirty!

Initially I thought about doing it myself but hiding the RCA and power wires is probably going to a sticking factor. Also I need to drill into the glovebox which I'm not sure I can do safely :Ermm:

Cheers, I had a look but I still need to drill into the bonnet as far as I can see.

If your talking about getting power cables from battery through bulkhead, you shouldn't have to drill through it.
There will be a grommet somewhere you pass a cable through I'm sure.

Yes bulkhead is exactly what I was talking about. I'll take a closer look tomorrow
