Just wanted to say hello and thanks to all who have posted in the 8th Generation Accord forum as their positive comments have helped me decide on my latest toy, a 2009 Accorrd 2.2 I-DTEC EX GT Auto saloon in racy red (not sure what the proper colour name is) with 33K on the clock and FHSH.

Hope to pick the car up on Saturday and I have to say I can't wait.

I tried quite a few different machines before being smitten by the Honda, yes it is compromised in some areas compared to my Mondeo (rear leg room, boot, heated windscreen) but there's so much about it I love; the engine and gearbox are just superb. Above all it has that indefinable something that just makes me want to drive it. Must say, having tried both I found the auto Accord to be in a different league to the manual (ducks) but maybe that's just me.

    Anyway, thanks again.
