A set of Honda front and rear brake pads for my 2009 Accord Tourer i-tdec would be around £120.

Twice as much as Mintex or Ferodo equivalents.

Is the difference worth it? If so, why?

    Cheers, Terry

Where are you purchasing from ?

Prices from our club sponsor Holdcroft Honda aren't usually that far off alternative aftermarket prices.

Oh and as I result I usually buy OEM, the OEM pads tends to last a long time too.

If I went aftermarket I'd buy Brembo or Ferodo.

I was very happy with the cost of my recent rear pads from Holdcroft, taking into account the discount we receive. They were a little more than the Pagids I could have bought from EuroCarParts but, unlike most aftermarket alternatives, they came with the associated shims and the necessary grease, plus I'm confident that they'll last a bit longer.

Honda genuine for the win, they just work full stop. strange that aftermarket can't give you that guarantee
