6th Generation (1996-2000) vehicle added by nick-b, Wednesday 11th Feb, 2015
nick-b added a new Honda to the garage:
Honda Civic EK3
Check the vehicle's full information here.
Ohhh B16 conversion ? Nice !!
Stick the details in here @nick-b, this the Project Log for the car
Seeing as @nick-b isn;t making any updates, I thought I'd throw a quick one in.
As you may have read he had issues with the transponder / immobilizer / ECU not playing nicely. But it seems that was not the case, as a mate of his came through today and confirmed he is getting spark when turning ignition. Seems now there is an issue with the fuel pump not getting power or the ECU is not talking to the fuel pump. However, by connecting a second battery direct to the fuel pump, the car started no problems and I can say that the replacement engine purrs very nicely.
Here's hoping Nick can get the fuel pump issue sorted.
I don't know the wiring so well from memory on the older cars but I think the points to check will be the Main Engine Relay, the circuit board for the Main Engine Relay and the fuel relay.
I have started a new thread with lots of picturesw in case anyone can shed some light on my issues.
Just so people can follow what is going on link to other thread is General - Calling all Guru's help needed!!
This thread is your Project Log @nick-b
aaaahhhh ok I will start posting in here in jan when me n @RogerH69 start moving the track cars into the man cave lol
Workshop / barn / garage. NOT man cave
Give it time lol
Thought i had better pop an update in here as things are slowly moving forward......
OK so I have almost got all the kinks out of the B18C4 install, interior is stripped out and I am in the tedious process of removing the sound deadening. I have my rear disk conversion sat in my garage waiting to go on, along with the rear ARB, LCA's and bracing, just need the hand brake cables and braided lines and then I can crack on with that.
So hopefully this weekend i can finish the clean up inside the car, ready for paint next weekend.
Another update...... wow 2 in a week? must be losing it lol
Did a little more work on the weight reduction, stripped out the sound deadening and more interior, started painting the inside too. Just need to remove the sunroof, fit the blanking plate and finish painting.
Hopefully will have lockup soon so can start the rear disk conversion, and fit all the braces and roll bars.

What's the name of that black stuff you're painting with? I wanna order some more and forgot what it is.
which one? the can of truck bed lining spray? or the brush on exhaust black paint?
truck bed lining spray
A track weapon in the making! The engine bay and highlights really pop with your choice of colour scheme, looks great.
A lady from our crew at work drives her sons modded EK4 (as he totalled her car!) definitely the coolest motor in the night shift car park. Unfortunately it may not pass MOT this time round, so glad to see the work progressing to augment and preserve your EK, shame they are a rare sight these days.
Fingers crossed that you and Roger get your work space soon.
cheers bud, I have always loved matt black and purple, so that is the colour scheme that i am going with on the whole car. The engine is going black so it gets rid of any dirty old looking marks.
Fingers crossed we get the lockup on friday and then we will have a few loooooong days working on it lol
Went past cottage today to drop stuff off (it's getting wet in the back of the slightly leaky lude) and farmer's still busy packing up Roll on Friday !!
First celebratory kebab 'n chips is on me
There goes the diet lol, spent the last 6 weeks shedding a stone and a half, don't want to put it back on. Can't put my Civic on a diet if I'm not prepared to lose some too lol
Might just have a chicken kebab with no sauce and no chips, will be a little bit healthier lol
