Honda have issued the following TSB #SP-17-002-00UK dated 11-06-2015 for All Honda cars from 1990 till 2015. New Honda lubricants for 2015 1. Three types of OEM engine oil will get new Honda part numbers around the start of July. The old part numbers will automatically supersedes to the new ones. 2. For the new 15YM Civic Type-R, you can only use the new type of 0W-20. Do not use the old type !! 3. ATF-Z1 is no langer available. Use ATF-DW1. 4. For the new 9AT transmission, there is a specific oil : ATF Type 3.1. Do not use any other ATF in this transmission. 5. The CVT HCF-2 is a specific oil for 2nd generation CVT transmissions. This transmission is only used in US-type 13YM onwards Accords, model codes CR2, CR3, CT1 and CT2. Do not use this CVT fluid for EU-spec cars and do not use CVT-F in this type of Accord. 6. VTM-4F oil for Pilot rear differentials now comes in 4 liter cans instead of 1 US gallon cans (=3.78 liters). 7. PSF-S now only comes in 1 liter cans. The 4 liter can has been discontinued. Overview The chart gives an overview of all other OEM fluids available, including applicable models, part numbers and quantities. Notes : 1. Depending on the conditions in which the vehicle is used, other oil grades may be used. Please refer to the grade overviews in the Shop Manual and/or Owner's Manual. 2. Please be aware that other oil grades may have an effect on the performance of the engine (e.g. fuel & oil consumption, noise, etc.). 3. There is a co-branded oil program with Castrol that may or may not be applicable in your country. Please contact your branch for more details.
