    All,

In December 2015 I bought a Honda Accord from a Honda main dealer in Berkshire
With it came the next two services (at a fixed price - from memory about £600)
It was at 48K (or thereabouts) and had just had the 50K service done so the next two services were 62.5K and 75K

The 62.5 service is fairly minor, but the 75K includes things like:
    1. The AT Fluid, 75K. I wonder what Honda mean by ATF Change. Flush, single dump and fill or multiple dump & fill
    2. The Diesel Filter, 75K
    3. Rear Diff fluid, 75K
    and maybe some other stuff

Now looking at the paperwork it seems that they are ignoring the Honda servicing schedule and doing the absolute minimum for the money. None of the above specifics are being done although they are planning on changing the coolant which should have been changed at 62.5

Now am I wrong in thinking this is a bit wiffy?

    Sean

Isn't there anything in / on the rear axle that needs something - I have no idea

Apart from the rear brakes the is nothing to worry about on the back end.

I got mine with 36,000 the previous owner had purchased a "service" plan working out at around £120 a go, There was one left on the papers I got so I phoned Honda and they said "no problem book it into your nearest dealer and it will be done" I took it to my nearest dealer and the "service" was done. However being a DIY man I did it again at 42,000, I make no insinuations but like you I wonder what they did when they had it.??

There was me naievely thinking that if it was listed in the service schedule for that mileage/age interval then a dealer would follow it...:Ermm:

My Accord is on variable servicing which I did not know about when I purchased the car. Every time it has been serviced (had 72K on the clock when I got it-now 93K) the service document has a tick in what should have been done as per the service book and signed for by the service manager at Virtu Honda Lincoln. Must confess though I do provide the oil as we get it cheaper than Honda. So more than happy so far.

"We" are members of this forum. Oil obtained from Lube Tech cost approx £80 delivered (need our discount code from @Ichiban ) for a twenty liter drum. See Lube Tech Shop

I have two problems with the service issue:
    1. I am not getting what I believed I had paid for
    2. Does this not make, if this practise is widespread, a Full Honda Service Record (which is in theory a selling point) a complete waste of time. What worries me is that I was told that Honda have signed off on these partial services as being sufficient for a deal stamp indicating proper servicing in the book

    Fraud perhaps?

You could say that about any car dealer, unless you watch the guy at every service working on your car. It's down to trust! A strange concept this day and age. It's the same with any trades man working for you, you trust them to do what they say they will.
