Pumps hanging from the ceiling ? Whhhyyy ?
Other than maybe saves some space and be safe from people crashing into them
But, there's no mucking around with which side your flap is on.
What about those individuals who arent as tall as others. Those pipes seem quite high up.
It looks like it's more space efficient. Note the white paint on the pavement; the station supports six cars (3x2). A station with pumps in the ground would only support four cars (2x2) in the same space. That said, this seems like a good way to get stray droplets of petrol on your roof. That will leave a mark.
Space saving yes, but what about the diesel that could drip on you or the car?
I like it...
mmmmm the taste of petrol as it drips on my face
Run round with a bucket and catch all the drips, free petrol
What happens if you drive off and forget to remove the nozzle from your filler neck first? At best, it would take the entire hose off the ceiling and spray petrol/diesel everywhere. At worst, they'd need a new roof.
There's always safety systems built into pumps.
