Thanks mate, running's got a lot harder as I've got older, and I'm only 37.

Thanks guys, well I finished it. It's the hardest thing I've ever done, sheer agony.

  9. Fantastic achievement Rob...something only relatively few people will ever do...hardest thing ever but it will definitely rank as one of the best once the pain goes.

I did it in six and half hours, first half in two and half hours then my left ankle gave out. Barely able to walk let alone run at the end.
But feels really good to have done it.
    Lots of painkillers today.

You need a gold medal that is fantastic 6 hours , I will pack it in 6 minutes and walk into a pub.

How long did you train for the marathon? I've heard it can take months of proper training to get in the right shape for this

I'm not in marathon shape either. Though I do enjoy a light work out daily. My brother is the runner in the family. He runs at least five miles a day. I'm sure he will out live the rest of the family.
