Going forward am going to stick to honda screen wash. One small bottle makes 1.25 liter so works out ok. Plus cleans the screen very well. A bottle cost about 1.70 pound

I use Prestone too - get it from Costco - it's epic.

Never freezes and has hydrophobic tech thingies in it so it doesn't strip the Rain X off too badly either.

I bought two of the big pre-mixed Shell screen-wash bags a few days ago,

It doesn't smell of anything and doesn't seem to be much good either! Very smeary.

Not recommended at £8 for two (although you do get a lot!)

I prefer concentrate. I don't know if its psychological or if concentrate actually works better.
Theoretically concentrate should work better, but only for certain brands.

Just a thought, could too much concentrate cause any damage, i.e. remove the wax from the car body?

I wouldn't have thought so. Only if you use it neat and I don't think we get -20 temps here.

I've seen this in up to -23 for screen wash I think a lot would depend also what in some screen wash as to if it would weaken or remove wax..

It should be exactly same as pre-mixed, only difference of course is concentrate isn't mixed and you need to mix it with water yourself, the advantage is it lasts alot longer as your using a little from the bottle and mixing with water, whereas with premixed on average you will be able to fill up twice from a 5ltr bottle.

The cleaning power is completely dependent on the detergent in individual brand and models.
