My negative terminal clamp was pretty knackered so I needed a new one. I fancied the idea of a quick release clamp like those shed-pullers use but after looking at the ones on my dad's caravan I didn't think they'd be tight enough. After a long peruse of eBay I ended up ordering these bad boys: 2 X QUICK RELEASE UNIVERSAL H/DUTY CAR BATTERY CLAMPS/ TERMINALS EASY FIT | eBay I got them yesterday and they are quite a hefty bit of kit. It took all of five minutes to get the job done. First I removed the earth cable altogether, cut off the old crimped clamp (make sure you have the length) and fit the new clamp: Fitted: You only need to finger-tighten the bolt before locking the clamp in place with the lever. I must say it works very well and makes disconnecting the negative easy and you don't need any tools.
