Body, Paint & Styling removing the tailgate garnish

    want to remove the lower tailgate garnish to take car of some surface rust on the bottom edge of the upper panel. Anyone know the procedure to properly remove this plastic garnish?

    I havnt actualy removed one but ime 99.9% certain there are two 8mm nuts at both lower corners on the inside of the tailgate and you will have to remove the tailgate inner trim in order to release the clips holding the lower garnish to the tailgate.

    Take a look at this listing on ebay

    from the pictures at the end of the page you have 2 screws on the ends and then you just need to pull it out.
