The wife is away this week so decided to treat myself
Good stuff mate how long did that take you ?
Took about 4 to 5 hours to build
If you need to forget about work, its a great way to switch off.
Oh mate, LEGO thread! I've started building the big Technic crane few weeks ago. Few more weekends and it will be done
I have two technic to build, an F1 car and cargo plane.
Takes me back to late 70s when I had the first space set
I think this was my first set, but much later, in 1990 ...
This is next
That looks cool !
Even has proper suspension
I bet that suspension will be stronger and last longer than any Audi suspension currently does as well.
I've been having lots of fun with Lego over the last year! Here's some photos from the beginning, need to get some more recent ones of his latest stuff. Every now and then he gets frustrated with something and goes on a demolition derby and it's a big rebuild operation for me! He's only 4 though. I keep all the instructions lol
So what to buy a 43 year old for his birthday? Well my wife got it right!
Built and now relaxed.
Neat collection you've got there @Duc de Pommfrit
I've promised my 10 year old that if he does really well in his SAT's this year at school, I will buy him any lego set he wishes for - for encouragement to make sure he does the best he can. He is currently eyeing up a £170, 2000 piece Temple of Airjitzu lego set. Sometimes I wish I would just keep my mouth shut - time for me to start saving - a promise is a promise.
My daughter is a bit jealous and want to move her Lego friends in. She already has my millennium falcon parked next to her Lego friends hairdresser because Hans is having a hair cut!
Sorry but when I get a spare couple of days, I will be building this, just don't have the room for it.
I do enjoy a good lego build but have stopped for a bit given the 3 and 5 year old taking and loosing parts on me and have switched over to these types of models, very therapeutic and takes about two hours to build.
If that's the one that had a mini space buggy in a loading bay at the back... I remember building that. I had a massive big box of lego, even tried building a 3ft long replica of the Battlestar Galactica... we did it, but not in the right colour... or dimensions... and in a hissy fit my mate pushed it down the stairs.
