    Dear All,
I'm driving a 2002 Honda CR-V (85k) with what sounds like a CV joint problem, as a 'tick, tick, tick' can be clearly heard when turning corners (left or right, hard turn or soft). After inspection by a mechanic, neither the rubber covers are perished nor does there appear to be a problem with the joints. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas what else could cause this noise?

Potentially power steering rack if it truly isn't the CV joints, worth just checking for any play in the tie-rod ends too.

As far as I know (having read a similar problem on another honda forum) the tick-tick problem on turning was related to the fluid int rear diff needing changing. They say every 70,000 miles in my service manual. Mind you, tie rod ends can also do the same, I had and old VITARA with a similar noise, thought CV joint and it WAS the tie rod ends clicking under the strain of full lock.
