Conflicting results when you search tyre pressures has lead me to ask this question, who do you go by when setting tyre pressures?

Do you go by the owner manual as you would expect Honda to know what is required?
Or do you go by the tyre manufacturer as you would expect them to know what pressure their tyres require?

I have just changed my tyres from 205/50 - 17 to 225/45 - 17 and seem to be coming up with conflicting results.
Also, while I'm at it. What are the tyre pressures for Type-R 18" 225/40 - 18's

    Cheers
    Dave

I run 34 Psi all round on my Tourer with 18 inch wheels, and for my 8th Generation and milk float the Psi as indicated on the Tyre placard on the B pillar.
