Discussion in '8th Generation (2008-2015) [Acura TSX]' started by jcalvarez, Monday 17th Oct, 2016.
Is it me or the used values are really high right now, especially for petrol 8th Generation Accords?
Yup the certainly are going up especially for petrol engines.
Can't say I've noticed any significant change in the market.
Why would they be going up?!?!
Market for quality cars with quality engines and reliability which sadly is not with the weasel engine.
LOL. Diesels attract premium prices, but only from the right sort of people...
They're not lol.
yeah tight @r3es you got that right

There not gone up, but they have held their values, bro in law has been looking to buy an 8th Generation and the prices just won't come down as all the late 7th gens have held value around 4-5k! We didn't and won't be getting a new Accord for a while so expect these cars to hold their values.
Just because car dealers are hoping to rip off potential buyers doesn't mean those prices are realistic or fair... Only a fool would pay anything like those asking prices! It would be very informative to discover what those trade sellers actually paid for those two examples.
The average car on UK roads is only around 7 years old... Anything older can only be considered past it and heading for the breakers yard.
The advert for the 2009 model talks about CMBS but did that not need the ADAS grille badge which it doesn't look like it has from the photo. Also the ad reads 8th Generation to me but it's a 7th Generation in the photo. Were there new 7th gens sitting round for a year after the launch of the 8th Generation?
Look at this:

Mazda 6 Petrol, Manual, 2014: Used Mazda Cars | Search Nationwide | Mazda
14,999 vs 12,995...
Mazda's have never held there value well and depreciate more, whereas Honda's hold their value well and are more desirable brand.

There you go, a more realistic second hand car dealer.
If you think Accords are going up in value (or ever will) you are as deluded as a Port Vale supporter.
Another Football team in stoke area, a dig at his colleague who supports them..
Yes, I was just being sarcastic.
On the flip side the value for Pre-Facelift 7th Generation Accords has basically been unchanged in 3 years, you can buy the same condition for £1500 or £3000 depending on the seller.
