Couldn't find the item on eBay. A referencee would help. A chap called Techmoan has reviews on various dash cams on his site and on YouTube.

I'm on my 4th dash cam.
1st came from China. It lasted a month then refused to read the memory card. Cost £30
2nd was a Nextbase DVR from Halfords. That last a month. Same issues. Cost 299
3rd was replacement from Halfords. 2 days for it to stop reading card.
4th also from China. On month two so far. Cost £25

1-3 were front and rear recording. 4 is front view and inside cab. Not what I wanted but it works.

When they stop recording, try reformatting the memory card, usually via the menu on the camera. It normally solves the problem but remember it erases all the recordings to the time of the reformat. In fact Nextbase recommend doing this every month.

I have been running a second hand G1W that I bought for £25 for over a year now and other than SD card requiring formatting occasionally it just works.

Used a new memory card each time and it refused to reformat

Probably a silly question but did you try re-formatting the original card?

We bought a Transcend Drive Pro 100. Works ok. Liked the 2yr warranty and came with a card. Cost under£60 delivered.

I have fitted many dash cams and found the Roadhawk & Blackvue ones to be very good a reliable.

The Blackvue ones are nicest looking ones in my opinion.

I've had two Nextbase Pro's for over 2 years now. Great HD pictures both day and night. No problems at all. Great value, can't recommend them enough. Also Which? Best buys when I bought them.

The dashcams which I'm seriously considering are the Viofo A119 or the Koonlung k1s both with a hard-wire kit.
Purely because they are discreet..although the A119 is much cheaper so I can get two for both cars

A119 looks good. I'm keen to find a DVR that I can rig for front and rear, rather than just dash based. Let us know if A119 goes well though!
