Hi guys what engine oil do yous use
Honda Genuine oils for me they trusted and reliable and really inexpensive.
I've been using EuroCarParts Triple QX 0w-30 fully synthetic. I jump in and buy it when ECP have a decent sale on.
Thanks guys will get some today
Big barrel from lubetech of 0w30

I've thought about doing that, but the barrels don't neatly divide up by the required 6L, which rather undermines the short-term economics. And getting the oil out of the barrels must be a bit of a nuisance?
Guys my local car shop says my car uses 5-30
Did you tell them what sort of car you have? You haven't told us!
Sorry it's a Civic 8th Generation 1.8 petrol
@Thomas111 add your Civic to the Club Garage, and then she'll appear at the bottom of your posts.
There's a short version and a full guide on how to do this.
Ah, well 5w-30 would more appropriate than the more expensive 0w-30 that the diesel needs!
3 oil changes and 2 litres left for top ups and you can get a proper tap to screw on so no mess
I use 5w-40 fully synthetic Shell Helix Ultra, which costs me £22 for 5 litres of it from ECP.
I bought loads when it was as low as £17.99 a while back
ASDA 4 liters 5w40 for £15 in ASDA atm I dared not to touch it but just wondering how bad will it be?
Thanks to @Denso23 I'll soon be using this...
0W-30 the I-DTEC loves it.
Have had 5W-30 in and whilst it won't do harm it is noisier on idle after a cold start.
Fuel economy better on 0W 30 as well
NSX gets 0-40 Mobil 1 in the 6 years of my ownership
Civic Type-S gets Shell Helix 5-30
CR-V gets 0-30 Castrol Edge Titanium
Mostly deals via ECP but looking into alternative purchasing in drum form down the line to drive costs down but to be fair ECP does some great deals on the above
Not sure what the XT gets as she is under a service plan with my dealer
Would people recommend this for the K24 engine in my accord aswell?
