Had new tyres fitted and wheel alignment done last weekend. While the car was up I've noticed this part. It's worn out and lose. What is it for and can it be easily replaced?

That is a vibration damper which fits on the sub frame, from memory it's just 2 bolts so very easy to change but to be honest it doesn't seem to do much harm when it's not there. I remove the rubber section if it's loose for safety, don't want it going through some ones windscreen! Then replace if you choose to bother.

Thanks for pointing me to the right direction.

    Found it on Lings Honda - £44.09 - PFKL638779

I wonder if it makes a noticeable difference ...

you won't notice any difference without this, at least I didn't when I removed that when I was trying to fit FMIC, eventually it stays where it is, but as I said i didn't noticed anything.
